Vincent Padilla
Vincent Padilla is a seasoned artist and associate professor with a career that commenced at an early age. He completed his education at the UP College of Fine Arts in Diliman in 1998, obtaining his MFA (Masters in Fine Arts). As a recipient of numerous local art awards, he achieved recognition in competitions like the Shell National Student Art Competition, Metrobank Foundation YPA, and the Philip Morris Philippine Art Awards. Notably, Padilla was selected as a Juror’s Choice Awardee in 2003, leading to his representation of the Philippines in the 2004 Asian Art Awards in Bangkok, Thailand. He once again triumphed as a regional winner in the same competition in 2010.
A highly productive artist, Padilla consistently creates and exhibits solo shows annually, showcasing his work both locally and internationally. His pieces have been displayed in various locations, including New York, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and other parts of the region. Currently, he is pursuing a Masters in International Business at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, where he has been teaching arts for 15 years.
